I drank a half gallon of water once, and immediately gained 4 pounds!

This is why I drink un-sweet tea when I'm out. I do have to admit, that I do have Diet Dr. Pepper a lot, but I would bet you that half my weight loss came from not drinking those kinds of things anymore.

Simple:
All sodas, INCLUDING DIET.
99% of juices too.
I just read the list... Are milkshakes really a shocker? Seriously?

Just ruined my day.
That's ok though, one of my major goals in life is to find me a short, fat, drinking, smoking doctor for myself.

I love the Eat This, Not That guys... just with some simple changes in what I ate, not how much, based on those books, I've lost 10-15 pounds in the last 4 months or so.

I'd rather have the 6 ice cream sandwiches in lieu of the orange soda any day! :-)

I started doing the exact opposite -- eating smaller portions of the exact same things and I had similar results.
At the end of the day it's just a math problem -- reduce the number of calories ingested or increase the number of calories burned.

It all depends on what is important to you. There are some things that I just WANT. So I work them into my day accordingly. Like if I want Sonic Tater Tots (I heart them so much) before I pick up Joyce from school, then I make sure I have something healthy for lunch.

Didn't say not to drink beer -- just to drink a different beer!

At the end of the day it's just a math problem -- reduce the number of calories ingested or increase the number of calories burned. | Ya.. well, I know me and I know my willpower... and if I'm hungry, I'm going to eat... so reducing portions alone isn't an answer *for me* .. but better choices of *what* I eat was... and has had some noticeable affect, not just in weight lost, but more energy and feeling better.
