I was processing thru some images, and thought you might like an update. Last month, he and his wife helped my wife and me with a big pol event either he or I or both have done for some time now. While Marla and I did the shooting, Don consulted and then helped break down the equipment so I could run over to the next location, etc. Given how well known he is, and what he has come thru, until the celebrity arrived, he was the center of attention, "holding court" among all these movers and shakers. (pics)

A couple of weeks ago, we held an annual training for the photographers in our youth salute program. Don was our featured studio instructor. Dee was downstairs, and Marla shared that it brought a tear to her eye to see him in action. Kinda choked me up afterwards, too.

While his vision makes getting on the computer quite difficult, he still is contributing to his calling. He is also going to be co-wrangling with brad (You can't be serious) Barton at Texas School this year.

Thanks, Don & Dee, for all your help last night! I just found these in Karla's card. Don was doing the posing for Karla in our Garden photo op last night, while I got Dee's help on the Hollywood set. BTW: Don's birthday is this Tuesday. He'll be 68.
