I am so damn tired of people texting me to ask 50 questions and wanting to carry on a texversation that I am about to SCREAM

There, I feel a lot better thanks.
Really though, isnt it a lot easier to just hit the dial key and talk instead of trying to text everything? I even knew one lady that enjoyed sexting

Or am I just to damn old, and be careful how you answer that one

I hate chronic texting. It's fine for sending quick little bits of info, especially if you know the person in busy or sleeping or something, but I generally like to talk, or send an email.

I'm 25, but old at heart.

If a text conversation goes back and forth twice...I start dialing. If I am in a car and get a text..I voice activate a call to them. as far as I am concerned if a question I ask or one is asked of me and it can't be answered with a yes/no or a time/day or 1 - 2 words I have no desire to use it.

@TEOTD, I don't find texting to be G8. AAoF, texting T2L. FWIW, my kids send me texts to decipher. Then tell me to GAC. So, now I keep an LOA handy.

Yep, if it is more than one or two quick questions, CALL. I have had people try to get me to trouble shoot their cars through texts. Always fun.

ummmm....yeah....DH and I talk all the time....but we have text msg conversations all the time as well....just stuff here and there....if it's a long discussion...we call...

Hate talking on the phone. Easier to terminate a text message.

If I do not really want to talk to you...I will text. But then again...bad reception is always a great excuse.

I hate talking on the phone, but hate texting even more. It seems like such a waste of time. I can talk faster than I can text, then wait for the reply.

Most phones do voice to text now. Seems even stranger to me to dictate your text messages instead of calling.

I ride the train between Dallas and Ft Worth for work every day. Txting is a way I can spend my time and keep up with more than one person at a time. Also I dont have to worry about who is listening in on a conversation, or if I am disturbing someone else with my conversation. Although it isnt my preferred way to communicate, in this case it works for me...
