Honestly, I didn't think about that Brad. I take it for granted that the network is there for use. I don't know how it works, and I didn't think about how use would affect the overall performance of the entire network. I figured hey, they have enough tech and equipment to handle the 3G use so it's always going to be available.
But then again, remember what happened during some of the recent disasters, and everyone was on their phones at the same time trying to contact people and nobody could get a connection because it was over used.
After reading parts of the other thread about Apple applying for a killswitch, it made some sense and I can see where they're coming from.
And after reading my above post in this light, I sound like a complete jack-hole
However, (there's always a 'however', right?') there are other features on a JB'd phone besides tethering that should be available from the manufacturer. Stunting expandability and usage of a device that has no ill effects is just hateful.
