Uh...Not Cool

Okay so I've been dating this fella for nine months. I even learned to scuba dive at his urging, and we just got back from a very enjoyable trip about a little over a month ago. We got along very well and had great times together. The only thing I wanted was for him to communicate a bit more with me during the week. He's kind of the loner type.

Anyway he let me know in an e-mail that after nine months of dating, he's "not ready to date". I haven't heard from him since. Obviously this relationship is over.

So please do not break up with someone via e-mail-just not cool and very tacky!!!

Sorry to hear that.... scuba diving is lotsa fun... one of the things I hate about moving here from Guam... not nearly as easy to go...

Email him back and tell him its for the best because the time you've spent with him has made you come to realize that any long term relationship would just not have been possible.

Tell him you have decided to move in with the girlfriend you've been seeing for the last month, and with him out the way you can begin a serious and satisfying relationship.
