What version are you trying to run? I just looked at their website and this is what it states for Elements 8

System requirements•1.6GHz or faster processor
•Microsoft® Windows® XP with Service Pack 2 or 3, Windows Vista®, or Windows 7
•(runs in 32 bit mode on 64 bit systems)
•1GB of RAM
•2GB of available hard-disk space

went to adobe and bought 8 this was p.e4 a friend had bought two copies and gave me the 2nd copy.
