Leaf Announces 80MP Back!

They announced it at Photokina in Germany which I believe makes this the largest capture MF back on the market now, downer is that it can only be pushed to 800 ISO but it has an excellent 12 stop dynamic range which would allow you to maybe push it a bit more on the job. No mention of the price but I bet it is a pretty penny!

So will Hazzy come out with a 100MP?

This should drive down the smaller backs price points a bit which can make them halfway affordable for mere mortals who don't shoot for the NY Big Boys and just do Weddings and Stuff.

Yeah TIFF are always 3 times the RAW capture file.

I just realized that it is 6 times, so must be about the 16 bitt process, yeah that is a BIG FILE!

Price is around $16,000 for the back (euro 12,000 range), that's a pretty good drop in price from what they were asking before.
