My new ride! - 09-28-2010, 08:59 PM

Well, after selling my Honda cruiser a couple of years ago and riding dirt bikes the last year I have decided my body is too banged up to keep riding dirt bikes, so today I bought a new street bike. I'll ride one more buddy race in November and then selling the KTM.

Today I purchased a new (new to me at least) 04 Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 with 5000 miles. It is almost completely blacked out like I wanted and rides like a champ. I'll pick it up on Thursday and should be able to get lots of riding in the next couple of months while the weather is good.

I love the Sportsters best. You are lucky. I will never be able to own one. Or at least not while I'm married.

That's what my wife says.
Guess I'll miss her once I get the money for which one I want (Electra Glide Touring).

all blacked out, is that wise when you are riding a motorcycle??? I think I would want to be as visible as possible. Yellow would be my color of choice for a motorcycle.
