Dish Network & Fox dispute (please read if you subscribe)

If your TV programming is provided by Dish Network, as of midnight last night, Fox Sports, FX, and Nat. Geo. were dropped due to a contract dispute. Dish is blaming Fox; Fox is blaming Dish. Either way, the consumer loses. Please make your voice heard at GetWhatIPaidFor :: Get What I Paid For!

I have dish but didn't pay to upgrade to the service with FSSW so it really doesn't affect me.

In all the years we have had DirecTV, I've never heard of a dispute about losing channels. I seem to hear it all the time with Dish. Didn't they almost lose WFAA a week or so ago? Maybe they are the ones who don't play nice.

I know my husband is pissed about the sports channels and Direct TV is here right now installing our new satellite. Bye Bye Dish Network!

I'm not sure what dish is thinking here. If fox wants more money, just pay it and pass it on to the customers.
ESPN already has most providers bent over the barrel with their fee, I'm sure fox wants some of that action too.

It's not just satellite, our local cable company has done the same down here twice in the last four years or so.

That's what we did also. Hulu is nice too!
But that doesn't work for people who like to help pay those athletes the big bucks, they need ESPN and FOX sports.....

Whatever. If Dish doesn't get right with Fox, I'll be moving to another provider because I'm not missing my Rangers next year.

It's not just Dish Network. Time Warner and HDNet had the same issue last year. Time Warner fiinally dropped NDNet....I was pissed!

Time Warner was also having contract disputes with ESPN and NBC this year.
