I miss the old TxOu Street Parties of old, when everybody hit Commerce Downtown and marched the loop! Always was fun to open up Sat paper and see how many hundreds were tossed in jail for the night.

My state fair media pass has a specific exclusion for game day, so I won't be going... probably because I don't shoot sports and they need all the space they can get for the sports-related media that day. It will definitely be packed!!!!!

Oklahoma this year...

Last week was not an apparition for Texas. You are hearing it here first, Texas loses to Oklahoma and then they lose to Nebraska in 2 weeks.

Saw the Oklahoma Team in their two buses on Haskell as they approached Fair Park at around 10:30 this morning, I was at a mechanic nearby for my car so I walked on the new Rails to Trails path and was on the bridge over Haskell as they went under- gave them a friendly one finger Texas wave as they went under me.

A whole lot of people streaming into Fair Park, left the area just after noon when the car was fixed, heard that the celebrations in town just lead to around 50 public intoxication arrests (don't know how many were actually locals getting wasted) but otherwise a pretty mild Friday Tx Ou celebration.

Kick off in less than 2 hours!
