One of the key legal questions facing Judge Emory A. Pitt Jr., was whether police performing their duties have an expectation of privacy.

aren't there video cameras in every single police car out there?? How could the attorney even think that a public peace officer has an expectation to privacy???

Maybe not an expectation of privacy, but in doing a thank-less job, they do deserve respect. As with anything in the world today, there are some that need to be relieved of duty, some should be prosecuted. But nearly every cop I know describes their daily job as swimming a 100 meter race in a raincoat. Now they get to do it on ESPN.

I have shot video of my travels for years. My video camera was recording the last time I got pulled over for a speeding ticket, too, and I would post it online if I could find it. I had just made a left turn, hadn't traveled more than 15 seconds from the corner, when I noticed that my speed was about 10 mph over the limit. I immediately slowed down to the limit, but a traffic officer on a motorcycle pulled me over.

I recorded most of my trips through the immigration inspection stations located along the Southern border the last time I was out that way, too. I wondered what they would say about my camera, and I'm certain they could see they were being recorded, but none of them said anything to me about it.
