I think Nikon needs to license this shot for their marketing. I know people would react to seeing it... maybe sway a few photogs on the fence between Nikon and Canon to go toward the dark side.

How much delay from the time the photog commited to the shot till the ball went flying his way? I'm just thinking here that on my D300 the ball would still be on the ground when I pressed the shutter and would be in the location it is now by shots finish.* Why was T man upset? Because the shot was ruined by the photog or he doesn't like photogs?
*I'm slow and many a bird has flown out of my frame is why I ask.
