I think it's odd that one of the blog comments stated that the photog was a jerk. What?!?

Tell the truth... how many of you studied the second photo to figure out which camera/lens combo the photog had? LOL I did.

Pain was using a Nikon D3S camera, with a 24-70 mm lens and a shutter speed of 1/1000 of a second.

In the interview the photog said his camera was fine. It was the camera body that was hit. Great presence of mind to get the shot.

No doubt, I think my natural reaction would be to duck, although I've found some very interesting shots I've gotten that I never saw what was going on at the time. Tends to happen when you are looking at the world through a little view finder I suppose.

If y'all didnt see the shot or any replays, Tiger duffed it basically, so it wasnt a screamer. It was more like a slow ball softball pitch. If it was screamer, tiger would be just getting out his his impact zone, head down and wouldnt be holding the club next to his waist.

Shot distance he was trying to achive was approx 20ft, so it was more of a touch shot rather than one he's gonna rip into.

To add, the look on tiger's face as the photographer is repositioning in the 2nd photo wasnt at him because of the ball hitting him, it was more of discuss at himself.

The ball had no chance of making the green. The area was trampled with spectators and it was muddy...really muddy.

Read that, but still don't like a golf ball heading for my head at any speed coming off of a club.

I'm assuming Pain knew what type of shot that was going to take place. If he didnt, I would suspect he wouldnt be in the position that he was. About 15ft from Tiger off to the right. Also, the marshalls would have to clear a wider path if Tiger was going to rip one.

BTW, that golf shot looks like about 99% of mine.
