I also quoted the US flag code (please re-read)

the State of Texas was its own sovereign nation for 13 days. If you ever see the State flag of Texas flown below the us flag on the same pole. Photograph it and post it. I have not ever seen that occur even though its part of the US code. That is why I posted the Texas flag code also

Right, and both say that Texas has no privilege over any other state to fly it's state flag at the same height as the US flag

The thing that annoys the hell out of me was leaving the Alamo off of the Texas state coin.

The weird part is that I recognize more than half of the photos in that video, but I have no idea which Stephenville city limit sign that is...I've only spent nearly 30 years in this town.

Missed Ennis and Edinburg for travel out of the country.
Missed Marathon for the runners, and Alpine for the climbers.
But the most glaring omission in my opinion: Valentine.

I've have tow favorite examples of town names.
Matamoros (acutally in Mexico but right across the Rio Grande) roughly translates to 'you kill the Moores'. This makes sense when you consider the history of conflict between Spain and the Moorish tribes.
But then there is the one old spanish town that raises a smirk. Matagorda which roughly translates to 'you kill the fat lady'

Reading Jeff Foxworthey's list I checked off almost every one. After all I am named for a forefather who fought on the battlefield of San Jacinto.

No matter where you go there you are.
