Facebook account hacked - 10-13-2010, 09:54 AM

Someone hacked into my Facebook account and stole all of the fake $ out of the Texas Holdem Poker app.
They also hacked into my 11 year old son's account and sent me a message via his account with a link. I didn't click on that link but I think they got me by sending a message to my outside email account saying that my FB account was being disabled. I went into Facebook and saw the same message there so I thought it was legit and reentered my login info from there.
Just glad it was not real money they stole. Very scary stuff.

FYI, Facebook, ebay, Paypal etc always uses your first or account name and if you hover over the link they send it will start with Welcome to Facebook or Paypal.com

Never logon.com etc.

This is the message that I got, just looking at the wording now and how it's written.

Any time a supposed actual company give you the "For more information, please click the image below" or anything like that. I always go to the actual site manually and find out if any message is legitimate. If it is there will be a way to take care of what they are asking through those means also.

Better yet....
Dont use links for anything requesting you to login to unlock your account.
Go directly to the site itself.
Not a variant of the site.
Also... go back NOW and change all your passwords ANYWHERE you used the SAME Original or the NEW password...

Yep, I would have called that BS just by the formatting....

Notice after it says "Attention , your account has been...."

The space between the attention and comma was probably for a merge of names that didn't happen. No where does it use your name.

This interesting thing is that I did go back into Facebook and the message was there too and that's where I clicked the link from, within Facebook.

With some things like this, the ridiculous grammar and typos are a dead giveaway. LOL
