W00T!!!!! Super Psyched!!!!

So.... questions that I think I know the answer to.... Do I have to wait for the next dot update of LR to be able to edit the NEFs on this? Am I only to shoot .JPG until then? I don't have NX2.

I don't need the kit lens either, but I am trying to decide if I want to keep or sell it. The range and the VR could be really nice for shooting video.

That's what I'm waiting to see, or do I just jump on a used D700 at some point and go FF and never look back.

Magnesium alloy.

Shot a wedding with it this weekend as my back up and I am really like it. Of course I like my D700 better, but this is a pretty sweet little camera.

How's the sharpness? I read a couple of online posts that said the images were coming out a bit soft even when the D7000 was coupled with several different lenses....

Could you post a shot or two taken with the D7000?

I'd love to post more, but I haven't pulled them off the card yet, and I am stupid swamped right now.... I did pull this one from the first day that I got this. I shot this high res JPG and the only thing I did was resize for web:

Exp: 1/80 sec at f/2.8
Focal length: 28mm
Focal length 35mm: 42mm
ISO 1600
Lens: 28-70mm f/2.8
