Update on Jess - 11/29/10

Jess had surgery last week to remove the kidney stone that caused all of this mess and to have a stent removed from her bladder.

Jess is still at home and was told by doctors that she will be cleared to return to work in 2 weeks. She's feeling much better and can't wait to get back to work since she's been out on medical leave for 6 weeks already and still has 2 more to go.

The funds you guys have donated helped her out a ton with her and her kiddos so I would really like to thank you... you guys have been very kind!

Update on Jess - 11/29/10

My friend Jessica is a huge Blue October fan and this past weekend Jessica and her best friend Stacey traveled to Michigan to attend Blue October’s last concert of the 2010 Pick Up The Phone Tour. Jess has been talking about this show for weeks and was really looking forward to seeing them once more before the tour ended. Unfortunately Jess fell gravely ill the day of the show and found herself in the Emergency Room instead of the front row of Blue October’s concert. As it turns out she has suffered from a kidney infection that sent her body into septic shock and to use the doctors exact words "Her condition is LIFE THREATENING."

Jess has been in ICU for 6 days (as of 10/16/10) and has been on a ventilator because her body simply can not take the strain of breathing on its on. She will remain there for a few more days along with several days in recovery in a regular hospital room. Jessica is a single mother of 2 and is 1,200 miles from home and from her friends and family. This is a situation that I do not wish upon anyone.

If you donate $35 to Jessica’s Help Fund I will personally mail you an 8×10" print of your choice from any of my photos in the galleries listed on the link below. This is my gift to you for helping out a friend of mine. For every additional $20 that you send I will send you an additional 8×10" print of your choice. So for instance say if you were to donate $75 to the fund I will ship you three (3) printed 8×10" photos of your choice printed on high quality metallic paper. These aren’t cheesy drugstore prints! These are top notch! Can’t beat that!

Abel, done. You are a good friend! You and your friend are in my thoughts. My dad had a life threatening problem with his kidney (he only has 1) shutting down this past summer and I know how scary it is.

I did actually choose a print because it is a photo of yours I have always loved and know where I'd like to put it.
