That is unbelievable! What skill... I'd love to see him try his hand at homemade lenses...

I know several people here in Houston that have made (ground) their own lenses, for telescopes that is.

Well "homemade" would suggest that one can build this at home. I don't know of too many individuals with a fully featured CNC machine at home but it would be very cool to make one of those.

The guy in the office over my right shoulder has a CNC machine in his garage. He makes bike parts.
