since the last time I was here I was lamenting my near-death experience with a bacterial infection caused by antibiotics.

Thread here : http://www.texasphotoforum.com/forum...as-sucked.html

Since then, I've put another 5 surgeries on my belt, four being kidney surgeries, and the other being the reversal of the surgery that saved my life - so I'm almost functioning normal aside from 1" kidney stones taking up residence. Lemme say lithotripsies (laser and shockwave both) and kidney stents are the current bane of my existence. I've had kidney infections with 105F fevers causing me a 2 week stay in hospital and withdrawal from school for the rest of this year, more stones, and a cumulative total of 8 weeks in hospital in some way shape or form.

Urologists, pain management, gastroenterologists, surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists and hospital staff have become well known to me. Including some on first name basis in emergency rooms.

Considering all that, I've done some photoshoots, including one customer loving me so much she paid me a total of $800 for 9 MINUTES of work and 49 5x7 images, with more expected soon.

I'm getting back in the saddle. Going back to school funnily enough on the 1-year anniversary of my fateful hospitalization at the beginning of the year, and even in my spare time helping out with a friend and her horses. There's another related post on that over in the business forum relating to model and property releases....

So anyway, hi peeps! I promise I'll try not to be such a stranger no mo'

yeah - I'm keeping positive. Had to go to the ER again today - turns out the current stent in my kidney has caused an infection. Made record time in there today - was in and out within three hours, and never had blood drawn or an IV placed.

Wow Lisa... Keep your head up!

My friend Jess (story here)is going down that road right now! she's recovering now but everything you just stated sounded all too familiar to me.

I wish you well and hope things continue to get better for you.
