Hello all. I'll have a few spare hours Saturday afternoon around the Austin airport. Anything interesting around there? How about the airport itself, is it very busy? I'm open to shoot just about anything. Thanks for the help.

I think McKinney Falls State Park is out that direction. I have yet to make it out there myself... meant to go earlier in the year but it got too hot to even want to get outside at the time.

Are you asking about walking distance or are you thinking driving distance? There isn't much at all in walking distance...

I'll be driving, but don't want to wander off too far. Are there any good spots to shoot planes from?

To be honest airports are getting crazy about security on and around them so if you want to shoot take offs you need to be in a place that is frequented by people doing what you want to do.
The state park is not that far away-
