At first I thought it was over sensationalized and Amazon let one slip through the cracks... but they purposely left it there according to the article.

Shame on them and it looks like I'll be buying my background roller system elsewhere. I'm going to miss Amazon a little.

My wife already sent them a letter stating that she'll no longer be purchasing through them. She did, however, state that she understands and accepts that they have the right to sell anything, however immoral, if they choose...

I just can't understand this book. I could understand a scientific book, trying to look at why pedophiles think/act the way they do, even if it attempted to defend why they do it as an illness or genetic disorder. However, a diagnosis and "reasons why" type of book is a long way from a "how-to be a pedophile" book!

It appears that the page for the ebook has been removed although the listing is still there. Need to keep an eye on it though as they might try to sneak it back in.

It's no different than lawyers that advertise on billboards to take care of your DWI or traffic tickets. I saw a billboard that said, "DWI at night, Coffey in the morning"; 'Coffey' being the name of the attorney. It's a rather tacky ad. I have worked DWI fatalities, so I fail to see the humor.

I understand that they were also deluged with emails and phone calls from irate customers. To remove ebook is not censorship as some claim but, rather, social responsibility.

While I applaud Amazon's commitment to the first amendment (I've seen some campaigns to get them to pull books about atheism), they sure chose a very poor poster child.
