Long time iPhone user here. I was a Mac only person dating to 1984 until I had to switch because of work around 2000. Now I have some XP and Win 7 boxes at home. So now I have no Macs. But I do have an iPhone and now and iPad. Which brings me to my question...

I use Outlook on my PC and email and contacts will be only more cumbersome with my new iPad. I'm wondering in MobileMe would make managing contacts, calendars and email between all these devices easier? Initially I didn't hear good things about MobileMe and Windows, but now that it has been around awhile I'm revisiting this. Anyone have experience with this?

While I have a MobileMe subscription, I currently only keep it because that's where my wife's email account is. The best way I've found for synchronizing everything is through google. The iPhone and iPad can sync immediately. To sync outlook, I use a product called gSyncit. I don't know if it works with the stand-alone version of outlook or not, I'm using it at work. But there's also a google outlook sync program that works pretty well, just has some limitations I didn't like.

I've had MobileMe ever since I worked at the Apple store, I always found it extremely useful. However, since then I have switched from an iPhone to Android and I run everything through google. my mobileme forwards to the gmail and it sends as if it were my mobileme, mostly because i like MM address more and I don't want to change and deal with that hassle lol
