Is it possible to use experience gained from working at one of the national studios that shoot here one weekend and some place else the next and someplace else the next..... to build your own proficiency and eventually run your own business? I don't mean owning one of there branded studios, but your very own "boutique" business.

I understand that under there brand they are going to want to stick more to a template style and shoot the same set of poses over and over. This wouldn't let you develop a style of your own, but your going to gain a lot of experience very quick.

If you are good at absorbing knowledge, you'll learn from the good AND the bad. I learned a TON from all my bad assisting and shooting jobs. You learn much quicker from those, really!
