I love B&H Photo, but...

Why are they closed for every Jewish holiday, but they are open on Thanksgiving? Isn't Thanksgiving a celebration worthy of closing, too? I respect the fact that they close for certain religious holidays, just as Chic-fil-A closes every Sunday to respect religious tradition. I don't mind the inconvenience too much, and prefer a company that has some sort of moral conviction. But still... open on Thanksgiving Day just doesn't seem right?!?

I think being of the Jewish faith is a job requirement there.

I'm seeing more and more retail places open on Thanksgiving. Even the small mom and pop stores like wal-mart and starbucks will be open.

My mom and pop shop at Walmart, so I guess it is a mom and pop store. If I remember correctly it was actually Kmart that started the open on turkey day years ago, even before Walmart

It seems like every year around this time someone posts a thread about B&H and their religious holiday schedule. IMHO, it's a business and they can open and close whenever they want. If you don't like their business, there are plenty of other vendors just waiting for your patronage. Of course YMMV...

I know this grumpy happy person that complains that B&H is always closed!
I tell him you go shopping when the stores are open, so just wait till there open, but NO he prefers to get all grumpy!
