It only costs so much because no one pays it.

My friends that are EMTs say that 80% or so of their calls are non-emergencies. Some are even because the caller basically wants a free ride to the doctor, and they know they will never pay, so they don't care that they are taking away an ambulance from someone that may need emergency treatment.

Well, they voted to remove the red light cameras so they gotta pay the city employees some how! LOL!!
