If you can afford Artie's fee for his workshop you can afford a couple of cameras and the big whites.

I have been to Bosque a number of times and as Michael stated you can find plenty to shoot on your own. The hardest part is knowing when to go for the best chance of success. It seems to change depending on the weather and migration pattern.

Micheal and Jim,
You are absolutely right! Artie charges about $3000 for a week at Bosque. Says he knows when and where to go, but I saw them where everyone else was gathered. I too try to get something different when I go there. See my thread in the wildlife section
