People ARE allowed in public areas barefoot. They MAKE you remove your shoes, and many people don't wear socks. That's one reason I hate the shoe removal thing. I bet there's been an upswing in athlete's foot since they started making people remove their shoes in line...

Nah, the floors are WAY too cold for it to survive. Thats why you get it in gym showers, warm and wet.
