Panasonic has one, right? A Leica with a panasonic badge, basically? And, doesn't Sigma make one, too?!?

Keep in mind the Sony isn't four thirds, it has a larger sensor than the PEN or Panasonic GF2.

Equipment talk in the Open Talk area? Who knew?

Sign up for the Rangefinder Forum. There is more ingo on wee small digicams there than you can wade through in a week. With LOTS of sample photos too.

Micro 4/3 & Micro PK Cameras & Sony NEX - Rangefinderforum.com

The NEX-Oly comparison is a bit of apples and oranges since the NEX sensor is larger than the Olympus sensor. Olympus has an EVF which the NEX doesn't have yet. Both accept adapters for a wide array of real lenses. The hot ticket in a "normal" lens right now seems to be the Panasonic 20mm/1.7. It works on micro 4/3s cameras. It does not work on the NEX cameras.
Good luck. Show us what you get and show us photos from what you get.

I am a NEX fan myself with the NEX-5. The firmware update really opened up the ability to change settings quickly with the custom buttons options.

I purchased one of the first Sony NEX-5 models for my wife earlier this year......the small size is amazing.

That said, we ended up selling it a couple of months later. The photo quality was good, but didn't compare with a DSLR. That compact size seemed to limit the sensor's ability to produce the nuances of color and light that a DSLR can produce.

Just one man's opinion, but I wanted to respond to your query.

That was a big knock in a review I read. Something about 28 menu clicks to format the card among other annoying "features".

You really need to include Panasonic in your search.

Now it is easy as heck with a one button push if you pick the right options for your custom buttons. I have one mapped to ISO, WB and Flash Compensation.

I've got a EP-1 that I use from time to time. The picture quality is good and it fits in my pocket with the 17mm mounted.

Thanks everyone. I am thinking of buying the NEX or one of the four thirds (Thanks for the correction Jake.) I am selling my G10 and wanted a small advance point and shoot with interchangeable lens. After humping a DSLR and extras up a mountain, I wanted something lighters but with more flexibility.

If you are not in a hurry and money isn't a limitation consider waiting for the Fuji X100 early in 2011. If image quality is decent I plan to get one...it is a poor man's M9
