Fascinating .... thanks for the link.

Hard to believe anyone would buy a camera that looks like a kid's camera for almost $1200....but the fact that there is only going to be 100 of them will probably make it valuable down the line.

Looks too much like something that no matter how many times I'd tell her my 7 year old would just have to play with (and possibly destroy).

Wait a minute... think of all the places you could take it? Probably never get asked to stop taking pictures...

Like the Lego store? It looks like a giant Lego camera... Kind of a fun design, but it's just not for me. I hope they can find a hundred people who want to buy it.

Have your kid take this into the Dallas Cowboy stadium. They would probably think it was a lago camera for the kid to play with. Not a bad idea.

It would actually be great for those who are clowns. :) I mean real clowns, like the ones who get paid to go to children's birthday parties.

I would not want to hire a clown that was taking pictures of my children. That's a bit creepy. I'd maybe hire a photographer dressed as a clown. However, if you hire a clown, he should be blowing up balloons and cracking jokes, not snapping pictures of the children for who knows what?!?

With that said, you are right that the camera may be more approachable and less intimidating to young subjects... maybe a good idea for a children's photographer?

saw this the other day and it actually got me into searching for colored, rubber skins for my cameras. I found what I was looking for, but was pretty disappointed that no one thought to make them different colors, or even patterns.. they were all just black.

I'd love it if my camera looked gold, bright green or leopard patterned or something like that.

My comment was somewhat tongue-in-cheek, because the bright colors reminded me of a clown. However, I am not sure if a clown taking photos at a party is any more creepy than a photographer dressed as a clown taking photos.
