Flying with a Tripod? - 12-04-2010, 07:26 PM

I'm taking a trip next weekend, and want to know if I can toss my Manfrotto 190XDB in my carry on (it'll fit with no problem) luggage, or will I have to check it?

I'm flying Southwest, so it's not a huge issue to check a bag, I'd just prefer not to.

For reference: flying from AUS to DEN.

I'm just gonna say that it's gonna depend on the mood of the TSA screener and/or SW gate attendent, good, you COULD get away without being hassled and have it carried on.

If you have it in your check-in, no hassle. I traveled to and through China for 3 weeks with no issues with my Gitzo in my check-in.
