Have you used that app? It certainly has some bad reviews.

I often have my iPad on a charger. I'm unplugging it to see how ot goes. It looks like using factory settings is a key to resolving battery issues and possibly turning off the "locate my iPad" feature, which I have on my iPhone and iPad.

Well, I was at 100% battery last night at 10. It has run in sleep mode with WiFi on, checking email and whatever it does on its own, and 9 hours later it is still at 100%.

My iPad is 32MB, 3G.

After a few weeks of iOS4.2 on my 16GB iPad I haven't noticed any battery drain.

Something to keep in mind now since the update to ios4 is that you have apps running in the background. For instance, if you have pandora running in the background and had put it on mute, it'll keep running until you stop it.

So be wary of what you have running.

As for me, I havent noticed any more drain that is noticeable to me.

Me either, mine was a gift I haven't gotten to use it very much for either. My Macbook pro went down last week and someone blessed me with a new one so I've been busy on it.

Since we're on the Apple topic:

I just bought an iphone 4 but the home button is loose and the upper half of the screen seems darker than the rest. Do you think the AT&T store will let me have a new phone? Will I have to pay a restocking fee?

I don't know about the ATT store but the Apple store here in Houston replaced the back screen on mine after it was several months old. When I called them to explain the it cracked after putting the new bumper they sent me, they said if they couldn't fix it they would replace it.

Ok so I was talking to some people and they say that the Apple Store handles replacements, not AT&T. So I guess I will wait until I am back in Austin to schedule an appointment.
