Great deal on the 3GS! I would, however, stay away from the 4 until the antenna issue is resolved w/o having to put it in a case, which amounts to putting a band-aid on it.

I'd love to go from my 3g to at least the 3gs.... alas I'm not due for an upgrade, and I certainly aint adding any more lines than we already have.

My Torch was free. It came with a 4Gb SD card. I can stick a 64Gb SD card in it.

That's still a little too expensive to switch from my Android.

I just picked up the iPhone 4 from radio shack for $149. Loving it so far!
But this deal at BB is pretty nice, the 3gs in quite a bit faster then the 3g.

Haven't had a single issue with my iPhone4, I think much like the 1DMIII focusing issue it was blown way outa proportion

Sort of. All they did was "fix" the strength meter. The signal attenuation issue is still there, you just don't see the meter move as far down as it did before. But really, who has a smart phone without a case anymore. Small percentage I would say.

The cynic in me thinks that the signal meter was intentionally set to read high on low signal strengths so that the phone would appear to do better than other phones in low signal areas. Their fix was to back that change out. I mean do we really think they had a real defect in their signal strength meter all this time and no one found it.

Put on case... no problems. It's an awesome phone.

Today I think a better argument for not getting a iPhone (which I have BTW) is that the Andriod based phones are coming of age and offer a lot of things that Apple doesn't/won't offer, namely the openness of it.

Doesn't this deal apply with upgrade option and/or 2 year contract?

That's what I read out of it anyway.

I can't upgrade until the 7th of January 2011... so, no gold for me.

I'm more referring to the Radio Shack promo.

Sonny, I'm not trying to stir up anything. Please do not accuse me of that. I was simply stating my opinion based on very recent reviews of the 4, in which the reviewers could not recommend the phone due to reception issues. They liked everything else about it. I am "brand neutral" when it comes to this stuff. I just want something that works right.

Now, having said that, can you point me to an article that explains that this has been fixed. If it has indeed been resolved, I'm on board and will upgrade in February, when my renewal comes up.

Thanks.
