Lens Bling for the Holidays Digital Photography

Quote:
The website Etsy is a treasure-trove of handmade gifts and it’s one of the places I like to surf for holiday presents. Each purchase is helping out an artist in a way that a present from a big box store just can’t do.

Occasionally I find some really incredibly cute things, like this “lens bling” designed to help photographers get the attention of kids, or really of anyone else.

You could probably make them. They look quite easy. All it is, is a hair scrunchy and some felt pieces. With that said, I did just order the Dalmatian and the Chicken.

Now there's maybe a way to get the sutborn childs attention that may not otherwise be willing to look toward the camera.

Then again, I'm much more into natural photos, the ones that aren't posed but just happen.

That was my first thought - it's a scrunchie!!

I forwarded to my sister for her to make me one and she said she would and that it looked really simple. I asked for either the bee, the dog, or the frog! would've been really helpful to have about 2 weeks ago.

Do they make one that would fit on the hood of my 300 2.8? I want to get Andre Johnson's attention.

Yes, easy to make but why not support the originator of the idea. She says she is a Navy wife, and we all know that our men and women in the service dont pull in a 100.00 bucks an hour....

Maybe if she makes one that is a Kardashian, they seem to like the football players.

I said it was probably easy to make... but that dont mean I'm taking the time to make one!

I did order two from her. The dog and the chicken. And hell... I might just keep it on my camera for the hell of it. It's a conversation piece if nothing else.

she's not the only one selling them on there. i found some more. so who's to know who really "originated" the idea. I sent the links to a few family members as hints as Christmas presents. But I'd still like to see my sister's take on them.
