Just like the Times-day late and a dollar short.

That story was on CBS' "Sunday Morning" showing that because of the process, it isn't something folks can do in their home dark room. They were doing hundreds of rolls a day. (They have an article on it, but I didn't see the video on their site.)

Having taken up photography in the digital age, I never really shot film, other than the 110 catridges but that hardly counts. But it is still sad to see an era end.

Man I loved Kodachrome-so it is now a footnote in the history books.

I've got a roll sitting in front of me on the computer desk. A roll I had misplaced, so I debated on sending it in because of it's age. Likely nothing would come out or the latent images have deteriorated beyond being worthwhile. So, I decided to keep it as is. I'm going to name her Mystery Roll.

I'll always wonder what the heck I shot with it. Maybe the only masterpiece I'll ever produce.

Leave it to the Master Minds at Kodak to kill off all of their monopolies in the photo industry. Dumb.
No worries. Now I can really concentrate on silver based B&W.
