Newborn photographers.... - 12-31-2010, 12:16 PM

I need your honest opinions. Can you please tell me if you would ever use the hat below on a newborn? This is my cell phone pic so sorry about that but it is a pretty true color of it.

I like it but was wondering if it was too much for photography purposes

To use that hat on a newborn you would have to make sure that the background was just as active, other wise it would draw the attention away from the main subject...the newborn. In my opinion it is just to busy, and would lessen the emphasis on the main subject.

I see these used all the time. Just use a simple plain background.

as I was opening the email and saw the post title I was thinking about suggesting a black back ground. you would not want to much close to the baby's face. I would either just let the tassel fall behind or if its sleeping, just stretch it down its back. the trick is to not distract from your over all subject in this case the baby.

Yes I see the style of hat used all the time too. BUT I don't usually see black, pink and grey ones used

This is true but I guess I should rephrase my question and ask "Would I EVER be able to sell this hat?" (not that I plan to I was just wondering)

Not the same color but the same style, we (TriCoast) have about 10 different hats like this in different colors. We use them all the time with our new borns and our clients LOVE them. Always a good seller.

Newborn photographers....

From the title, I was hoping this would be a thread about babies born with a 5DmkII in their hand, ready to start taking photos...
