I went through on Sunday and believe me, the crowds were there... especially at the beginning... it was insane.. you couldn't get to some of the booths for all the people.

Geez.. I should be down there somewhere.. surprised I'm not at the Texas School booth.. I spent a lot of time there near the end of the show that day.

I'm probably in the Denny's booth down the way... and looking at it again, if this was Sunday then the lady in the red shirt in the Texas School booth is definitely Marla Horn.. txmama here on the forum.

I was there Tuesday 11am to 1:30pm. And I've got a question. Across the hall from the expo there were a couple photo exhibits. And there were at least 3 or 4 people taking photos of the photos. Not just one or two of the best ones, but dozen's. The most bizarre thing I saw was a guy that took a photo of every shot that came up on the computer screen of that European Photo Exhibit. He just sat there in a chair and shot a photo each time the monitor changed to the next picture. He was there shooting when I started looking at the displays, and was still doing it a half hour later when I left. So the obvious question is - why? I can see taking a specially inspiring photo to get ideas from, but wtf?

They are hoping to get some ideas, probably. This is not uncommon at any print exhibit. Some are probably "real" newbie photographers, but keep in mind that anyone with the entry fee can attend the trade show, and as the convention time got closer, PP a made free passes available.

There was a time when the print exhibit at the national PP A convention, now called Imaging US A, was separate and you had to be registered for the convention to see it, but I believe that has changed.

I am sure there were others from this forum. The classes were actually packed especially the two Lightroom 3 classes!

Yes, he did. It was great to see him again (twice in one week for me since he was at the FWPPA meeting last week)!

I was there Sunday, but drove back to Sugar Land to get the wife and take her to Corpus where I sit right now... back to DFW on Monday.
