I just read that story a few minutes ago, before coming to this forum... It's a silver lining, since it helps bring some sort of justice to the incident.

It is also weird that apparently the photographer shot more than one frame of the guy pointing the gun at him.

Not really. Most people look at their family's faces while taking a pic, not the whole frame. Why do you think so many average joes have such terrible pictures in their scrapbooks and on their facebook pages? We are the ones who are trained to consider everything in the frame.

Quite apart from the failure of the photographer to notice someone standing point-blank in front of him, why would the gunman hold that pose for so long? The photographer should not have had time to shoot more than one frame.

Yep.

And why is his purported "look-out" laughing and apparently enjoying himself?

I actually thought about that, too. Your average person with a camera (usually a point and shoot) takes a couple seconds between shots. However, it doesn't say the gunman held that pose for all the frames taken, it just says he was seen in multiple frames. He may have been back there, but not aiming/displaying the gun yet.

Wow that's chilling. In addition to what has been said, It looks like it was kind of dark there, and the assassin was only illuminated by the flash, which would not have been very noticeable by the cameraman/victim.

Some of you must not have scrolled through the pics. There's a second photo where he took a picture of the car and the gunman is still holding the same pose. Unfortunate for the victim, he was not an observant man.

I believe that is the same photo. They are showing two different crops.
