YouTube - Vivian Maier, street photographer and nanny

BEAUTIFUL street work. I'd love to see an exhibit. So sad she was just now discovered and so recently deceased.

WOW... what a shame that it took so long for her work to be recognized. She was amazing.

Geez... another thread started on this topic?!? Do people not read this forum, and then just blindly post things? I appreciate the link, but it would be better as a post inside one of the other Vivian threads.

Jason,
Thanks for the links but she is the same photographer that Daniel posted earlier.

Daniel,
I passed the link on to some my other photographs friends and posted it on PPF and everyone is amazed! How did you ever run across this?

I think Jason is trying to point out that this has already been posted on this forum 4 other times, but personally, I am glad this got reposted because I would have never seen it had it not.

Same here. Not all of us have the time to read every post everyday. And if the admins have to make stickies all the time to cover repeats then it will just be a forum od stickies...

That is understandable. However, two of these Vivian Maier threads were active threads in the first page of posts, and could've easily been spotted by the newest thread starter. I understand missing Shane's original thread from over a year ago, since it wasn't right there in your face.

And, I agree - the important thing is that Vivian's work is being seen, not that there are several separate conversations going on at once about her.
