Saw this on DPReview. Now I know why Memory Cards cost so much.

Canon has a series of video tours showing how L lenses are made. They caused me to appreciate the quality and pricing of such optics.

I think I know what you're talking about John. After I watched those videos too, I was like, "$1500 for a 70-200? That's cheap!" haha

I couldn't help but think how I would of stuck a whole tray of the 32GB 600x CF cards in my back pack.

The video series I saw showed them making a 500 F4L from start to finish. It helped me understand the price tag a little better. LOL

I was talking used :)
Plus back when I saw it first, new ones were only going for like 1600-1800.
And yeah, looks like Canon wants to play catch-up with Nikon's prices.

You're right of course. The non-IS that I had, I paid around $1500.
