Could use thoughts and prayers

If you have any positive thoughts and prayers to send out for my family and me, I would greatly appreciate it.

My mom passed away today.

She had surgery and treatment for cancer starting in June of 2009, had a great year, and just recently the cancer returned to her liver. She wasn't well for the past month, but she was managing. Her body was not strong enough to endure the chemo this time, and once she got the first treatment on January 3, she faded very fast. My dad was at her side in their home when she passed today, and my sister and I were both very nearby.
The family is doing well, but all things considered, it was kinda sudden. I could really use your prayers and thoughts of support during this time.

Kent, I'm so sorry for your loss. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

We also lost our mother to cancer this past October, one year after being diagnosed. She too went through surgery, chemo, and was deemed cancer free in June of 2010 but one month later found that the cancer came back and only had 3 months to live. She flew to Hawaii to spend her final days with her mother and passed away while at a hospice facility.

I know it may not mean much, but I'm glad that your mother had her husband with her by her side and her children close by. I regret many things but the one that eats away at me is the thought of our mom taking her final breath alone.

Keep your mother's warm smile and laughter in your memories, she will continue to be with you always and be there when you need her.

May you rest in peace Mrs. Sparkman and continue to love and guide your children from heaven.
