Keep searching the web. A lot of free stuff out there so you may not have to buy any thing. I find a so many of the things for sale by the top photographers is just variations on the basics.

I constantly pull full page ads out of lots of different magazines - Town and Country, Vanity Fair and most of the the fashion mags previously mentioned all have some great examples of beautifully lit portraits.

I have done that, but I think I am missing some of the key basics to allow me to decipher the puzzle of how they did the shots. I am getting better at it from a lighting standpoint but could use some more help. haha

I've gotten some good ones off of Amazon, usually around $25 or less. Its mostly for photographing women though.
