It's really kind of a free flowing format.

I usually try and garner a few questions from the audience ahead of time and incorporate them into my presentation.

We'll talk about some basics, some advanced tactics, and everything in between.

I hope to inspire and teach everyone a little bit of something while making the whole thing a dialogue instead of a monologue.

I'll encourage questions from the audience before, during, and after the presentation and hopefully facilitate a lively and entertaining discussion about the art and technology of photography, videography, and multimedia storytelling.

I've seen you post things before about places you were speaking. I seem to remember something about Grapevine some months ago.

Can I ask 'who are you?' Perhaps, 'what do you do?'

Not trying to be a smart ass, just wondering what it is that you do, that you are speaking at these conferences.

Hi Chris,

Not trying to be smart either but I am not sure I understand quite what you are getting at.

You ask, "Who are you?"

I am Russell Graves from Childress, Texas.

"What do you do?"

I am photographer and from time to time, I am asked by various groups or companies to come talk and teach on photography.

That's what I am doing this time and I was extending an invitation to the TPF community to come and and share in the dialogue.

I suspect this may be an incomplete answer but help me hone in on exactly the answer you are seeking and I'll be glad to help.

I didn't know if you were possibly an environmentalist on a state committee, or if you were a college professor, or what kind of expert on whatever topic was being presented.

As a photographer who is asked to speak, I would assume you have a lot of experience and possibly awards/credits for being such. I was just wondering what those were.

No harm meant, just trying to get a better idea of who you are as a speaker.

No problem, Chris and no harm taken.

I am a commercial and editorial photographer who specializes in outdoor lifestyles, agriculture, and rural lifestyles.

I always go into these talks as an open book. As such, i try and garner real questions from people who think they may attend and teach them the things they want to know.

By sticking to the open format, I think it goes well in creating a fun atmosphere that's conducive to learning and most importantly, it creates a dialogue about photography.

So in the end, I try to make the programs about you and not so much about me.
