The interface is great, but since it's a back-lit screen it will never work for heavy reading. The Kindle and other e-ink readers are far superior. No eye strain and you can read outside in bright sunlight or in the dark with a small book light. It's EXACTLY like ink on paper. I bought a Kindle AFTER I bought the ipad once i decided i really liked the idea of electronic books. I use it pretty much every day.
Magazines though... that's totally different. Magazines on the iPad are amazing... better than the printed version! I love taking my iPad to the dr's office and reading MY magazines instead of the junk they have there.
I also agree about Flipbook. I had set it up for flickr, facebook and all the other blogs i like to keep tabs on. But i haven't opened that in some time.
And for business, taking credit cards with my squareup card reader is awesome. No need to sign up for a merchant account or anything, it works just like paypal.
