Wow. I think he was in better shape than I am.

And for anyone who has never seen the clip from the man show with Jack Lalanne teaching adam carolla how to exercise, go watch it now. Truly hilarious. The look on Jacks face when adam puts a cheeseburger into the juicer was priceless.

Jack had an exercise show back decades ago that was on Ch 11 (In the DFW market I believe) and it was just funny as a kid watching him trying to get folks to be fit. To bad that he didn't get to 100 must have been some tough pneumonia to take him down-maybe he was stuborn and didn't get medical help early enough?

Saw on the news a pic of him back in his 20's?

I don't think that he was that tall either.

He was an icon to fitness and taking care of one's body.
At age 62 he swam 1 mile in Long Beach Harbor, handcuffed, shackled and towing 13 boats (representing the 13 original colonies) containing 76 people.

At age 70 while handcuffed, shackled and fighting strong winds and currents, towed 70 boats with 70 people from the Queen’s Way Bridge in the Long Beach Harbor to the Queen Mary, 1 ½ miles.

And as a final feat he will be the pallbearer at his funeral, (herd that on the radio this AM.

It would be cool if the last 6 Mr Olympians or Mr Worlds would be his ballbearers and then they could be flanked by Arnie and Lou (two body building actors), hell toss in Shaun Connery too!
