I think of Scott more in terms of Photoshop. I've seen his photography work and he knows what he is doing, but how does he get a sideline pass to major NFL games? I figured those were for "media" such as Sports Illustrated, newspapers, Getty and the like.

LOve the blog story and images. But I will criticize him for not getting out of the way and potentially causing an injury.

Scott was probably there as an assistant to one of the bigger guys.

At a game like that, there often isn't enough room to get out of the way. There are often two rows of photographers. One kneeling and one standing right behind them. At the SB, those spots are all assigned. And the play happens so quick, that it is impossible to do anything other than brace yourself.

I think I read that he was there as a guest of the Chairman of the Bears Football Club ( a friend of his).

You think Scott was supposed to Photoshop the scoreboard for the Bears?

Yep. From his blog:

I was there as a guest of my buddy, and Bears Chairman, Mike McCaskey, who shot the game alongside me the whole time (though thankfully he wasn’t there when Rogers came crashing into me at the goal line—link).
