Photo of me with the Vince Lombari Trophy - 01-31-2011, 08:57 PM

My husband and I went to the NFL experience on Friday night. We had our photo taken with the trophy and were given a card to go to moverati.com to view and share our photo.

I'm thinking maybe the lens was on manual focus but the photog was in auto mode??

Looked like fun. We were in Las Vegas a last week and I meant to go get my picture taken with the $1,000,000 at Binion Horseshoe and forgot.

I learned the hard way whenever I hand over my camera for someone to get my picture I quickly switch to A mode so at least I have something useful.
Ignore this stupid part of my post I put in quotes, msut have been more tired last night than I thought. I misread the part about given a card to go get the photo. I hope they weren't in the business of trying to sell any of these prints also.

Wow... whoever they contracted to shoot the event will not be winning any awards for THAT photo! I wonder how many other people got screwed out of images?!? You think it was a fluke with your shot, or do you think he wasn't in focus the entire night?

We did have a good time, the photo would have been a bonus!

Regarding your post prior to editing - I probably would have had better luck handing my G10 to a 3 year old to snap our shot!

I will admit I didn't expect much from the photo because I hate getting my picture taken....I was expecting a goofy look on my face or my eyes closed but not a big blur!

I can't tell if it was a fluke or not. I do see a lot of their shots from the event on their website and it seems like they struggled with lighting as well. Here are a few random images from their site with lighting issues:

Wow, those are all pretty bad.

On the plus side, as near as we can tell you did NOT have a goofy look on your face, or your eyes closed. :)

You pay $25 to get in and you get shots that a 5 year old with a camera phone could top!

Nice shot but back off on the skin softening.

True! Maybe I should ask for all of my photos to be out of focus! :)

I think this skin softening technique might work for goofy smiles!

I sent this email to them on Tuesday:

Hi,

I attended the NFL Experience Friday evening, January 28th. My image # is 002088. I was really looking forward to the photo of my husband and me with the trophy. The image that is displayed to me on the website is a complete blur.

Can you please check and see if there was a problem when it was uploaded?

Thank you!
Shelley Debnam

As of now I haven't heard anything but with all of the weather issues I'll give them until sometime next week before I follow up again. I know there isn't another photo of us and I know that it wasn't a problem with the upload I am just curious to see what explanation they give. :)
