Anyone have pics taken with a G12?

My wife thinks my cameras are too complicated and is wanting another point and shoot. I think I lost hers! I want her to get either a G12 or P7000. She really likes the look of the G12 and you know it is about the looks! Anyway, if you have a few photos to share I would appreciate the help.

Have a G11, the G12 adds a front dial & the pivoting viewscreen allows her to take shots she would not normally be able to take. The down-side is the buttons are easy to touch while shooting and there is no "lock all" feature.

I read that about the G12 so are you saying the G11 doesn't have those issues? How do you like your G11?

With my fat fingers I have to be carefull not to touch the right side buttons. I added a Lensmate & that gives me a better way to hold the camera in my left hand. The rear buttons can get in the way when holding the camera over your head.

The G11 & G12 have the same layout on the rear of the camera.

Never shot with a G12 but I thought I'd let you know they are on sale at Fry's this weekend for $399.

Unfortunately after tax its only about $2 savings compared to B&H prices,...

I have a G12 that I carry in my purse. I love it!

I went go Best Buy and they wouldn't match Fry's price. I didn't want to take a 30 min drive.

They said not that price and couldn't believe it! I probably could have raised a stink if I would of had the ad with me but that's not me. I'll just get it from BH. I try not buy from Fry's if I don't have to!

You don't LOVE frys? That is one thing I really miss about tejas, I miss my hours of wandering around that beautiful store LOL (Im sure the wife likes NOT having one around)

I've been looking at both the G12 and the P7000 and BnH has cool demo videos of both.
I think Nikon blew it by leaving of the tilt screen.
