Angelo, I go to Russia every winter, usually right after Christmas. Yep, it gets cold and snow covered. Snow plows, bobcat loaders, and a Zamboni run 24/7 in Red Square, as they do not let snow build up in there.

Dsanchez, it snows but it's not cold in Colorado. It's actually not bad at all and really very mild.

Hah! That's what my friends and family in Colorado say anyway. But my husband had a flight layover there one year and they were de-icing the plane's wings. Not unusual except it was August.
