Yes I do and it takes great closeups which is what I need for the forums I post on (I sell Desert Ironwood) to woodcarvers and knife makers for handles and pistol grips and for use on a woodlathe, and it shows the grain really well, and I am retried and trying to supplement my SS, my problem is, some sites or forums only allow pictures that are 800x800 and I don't have the knowledge to do that or a simple download (Please Very Simple ) to do it with. Thanks

Cool. Pick up a program called PhotoShop Elements. It is about $99. I think if you go to Adobe.com you can download a 30 day free trial. Once you get it I can walk you through it. It also gives you a few more editing tools to make your images POP.

IrfanView - Official Homepage - one of the most popular viewers worldwide
Free, and a very capable tool.
it even has batch resize so you can do a bunch of files all at once. Be careful with this and make sure you know exactly which of your files will be changed.
Tip: After you resize the file, do a "save as" and give the little file a different name. Never save over your original file.

If you have a membership to COSTCO, they have PSE 9 for $79.99. That's the full version too, not an upgrade. I picked mine up last weekend.
But definitely download the trial so you can test drive it and make sure you like it.

A little more re: re-naming files.
When I revise an image, I rename it with the original name, which my camera gives it, and tack on -1 before saving it. That is quick and easy.
I can rename a file later with a proper name when I have the time and am feeling creative.
Good luck with your business.

You might also just get on an online photo service: photobucket, smugmug, etc.: (people here can give you other options) their interfaces are quite easy to use, even for a novice, and most forums would really rather you just post a link to a photo hosted on those sites than have you upload them yourself: it uses less of the forums' bandwidth that way. All you have to do once you have them there is get a link to the photo, (easy on the host service's interfaces) copy and paste it into the "insert photo" window in the forum, and you're done.. You also don't have to wait for photos to upload every time you want to use them...

Hi Joe!
You can also resize in Microsoft Picture Manager...very simple and is likely already on your computer.
Good luck!
