So i was looing on Amazon today and searched for 70-200mm nikon VRII and saw a used price for $1,160 in like new condition(really cheap to good to be true) so I emailed the seller and asked general info and got a response, "Im not selling anything". When I searched again and tried to find the "AD" it was gone cant find it anywhere kinda freaked me out and has made rethink online shopping. Has this ever happened to any else while using amazon.

Could be the seller realized his mistake and took down the listing while you were emailing and did not admit that he had the listing up when you saw it ????

I once had a listing up on eBay, and decided to make a change, while my listing was in edit mode, (3 minutes max) a person tried to buy it, and she got an eBay message that it was not available. I then got a message from her about how disappointed she was not to be able to buy it, and basically thinking that I had some kind of scam going. I told her it indeed was for sale, she bought it, and it took me awhile to put together the chain of events to understand what had happened.

I had the same experience once regarding a TV that I ordering. Turned out the seller was scaming and Amazon pulled his ad. The seller contacted me directly shortly after but I chose to ignore him.

Amazon seems to take action very quickly when there is anything questionable.

BTW, about 6 months ago I bought my 70-200VRii brand new through ebay for $1900. US serial and the warrantly registration went through

Was it from a Store or private seller I have been looking to get this lens and the 14-24 2.8 nikon as well. I will check ebay and see what they got thanks

Private seller with an ebay store David, I can PM his name if you like. I took a quick look at his current offerings and there were no lenses available.
